Stan van Loon is graduated in Chemistry (1971) and Civil Law (1981) at Leyden University. He was partner of the Dutch Law Firm Vereenigde for many years. Head of the Patent Department Life Sciences Patent Division Graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences, specialization in Genetics, in 1982. She was examiner in the Biotechnology branch at the Cuban Patent Office, and also has worked as patent agent in several law firms, in Cuba and Ecuador. She has also worked in support to R&D projects and patent protection for several scientific institutions. Member of the Board of Trustees of the Centre for the Management of Intellectual Property in Health, Research and Development, MIHR, and co-author of the Handbook of Best Practices for Management of Intellectual Property in Health Research and Development, (United Kingdom, 2003). She has been associate professor of a graduate on IP of the Cuban Patent Office. Now she collaborates as WIPO expert on patent drafting in the life sciences field. She has also given services of patent drafting to other law firms from Argentina and Spain. |
